Surprisingly, Zoho Projects is very simple to use, so no training is required. Most of the features are very intuitive, and for those that are a bit harder to figure out, you can always just Google the answer, and you’ll likely land on a Zoho Projects blog post and / or some helpful videos about their different features and how to use them.

Project chat helps team members to iterate, discuss, make decisions. Here are few enhancements done in project chat.

Chat now uses browser scroll. Previously there will be inner scroll to scroll chat messages, now its been removed and chat message scrolls along with browser scroll.

Images sent in chat will be rendered in chat message area. Also the chat participants presence (offline/online) displayed at the bottom-right corner of each photo.

Project overview : an overview about the Project to help team members & Clients to quickly understand the purpose & scope of the Project.

With recent introduction of editor for adding/updating project overview, you can use the editor features to describe the scope of project to the users involving in it by

listing the goals
adding description/details of the project

In Zoho Projects, each project has an unique email id to post forums. The users in that project can send mail to add a forum post to that project. Now an additional enhancement done to make the post sticky. Add "[Sticky]" in the mail subject.

syntax is : in the subject of email, start with open square bracket Sticky close square bracket followed by forum title.

Ex : [Sticky] Ajax tutorials

In Zoho Projects, each project has an unique email id. The users in that project can send mail to add "What am i doing right now" user status. Now an additional enhancement to add announcement to the project by sending mail to same email id with "[Announcement]" string in the subject.

syntax is : in the subject of email, start with open square bracket Announcement close square bracket followed by announcement title.

Ex : [Announcement] : Release activities for Beta release

You need to be an admin or a manager of that project to add the project announcement.

In Zoho Projects 2.0, new report has been added, the "User Task Summary Report. The report provides the details of open tasks and closed tasks count for all the users in a particular project.
